Seeing

Being inundated with images on a daily basis has been wonderful for me. I see with a more attuned eye now than I ever have before. I know what works, what doesn't, and what is on it's way, but not quite there. I have learned a great deal about what these vital elements are in a photograph but when it comes down to it there is no formula. If there were a formula this wouldn't be an art and I certainly wouldn't be interested in perusing it. I enjoy the idea that photography can be what you want it to be. It can be as exaggerated or subtle as you wish, but to find your own way of seeing is truly a life long pursuit. The way you see and perceive the world changes constantly with each new experience. These experiences only supplement a gripping desire to see in a way no one else does, but it's how you internalize these experiences and portray them through your photographs that define you as a photographer.
